Good news for the lone star state, as a medical product manufacturing company is bringing several new jobs to Texas.
The Texas Enterprise Fund is investing $450,000 in Ferris Manufacturing Corporation so that company can open a new headquarters and medical product manufacturing and distribution center in Fort Worth, a move that will create about 100 new jobs and inject $5.5 million into the local economy.
Privately-owned Ferris Manufacturing provides a number of popular products to consumers, including: PolyMem and Shapes wound care dressings, RhinoPak dressings for nasal surgery, and BabySmooth diaper rash products.
“We are excited that our future innovations in the medical field will take place in Texas,” Ferris Manufacturing CEO Roger Sessions said in a press release. “PolyMem wound care dressings are the best in the world, and Texas has the best business climate in the world, so this is a win for both Ferris and Texas. The support we received from state and local leaders made us certain that Texas is the place for our business to grow.”
